Happy Maori language week! Today we read a story about The Story of Taranariki. We had to retell The Story of Taranariki from another characters perspective. So here is my writing.
There are 3 boy mountains that all like Pihanga, the girl mountain.
Pihanga would shout at them because she didn't like fighting. They were fighting for Pihanga.
¨Whoever wins will marry her!¨
Pihanga frowned ¨You can not win me that way¨ But they didn't listen.
She turned her back to them as they prepared. Pihanga didn't look excited. Pihanga probably thought that fighting was a bad idea.
