My Wombat creation

Today I will be showing you my Wombat creation I did and I will tell you about it. In today's goggle meet we created a Miller class Encyclopedia weird and wonderful animals. When we went on it we had to click on a link that would take us and it had animals on it and on the animals like if you wanted to read about spiders it would say 10 facts about spiders and you click on it and read and then in our own words we had to writ three faces about the animal we chose and I chose a Wombat.

After we had a follow up task that we had to do and it was that we had to recreate the animal the we chose and it was kind of hard for me because I had to make a Wombat but when I did it was kind of easy.

The story of The Ten Suns

 Hi bloggers, 

This blog post will be all about the story of the Ten Suns. . It is also like kind of writing so sit back and relax.  

Once there were ten suns that take turns bringing light and warms to the earth. Each day one of the suns would travel east to west in the sky. The suns liked being together and after a while the didn't want to take turns going and coming back. So all of the ten suns traveled together. They were very happy traveling together but the people the lived on earth were very very hot and the plants and trees died and all the water was dried up. The people on earth begged their emperor to tell the suns not to do this ever again because it was getting way to hot. When the emperor told them that they should stop the suns didn't listen because the liked traveling together. He kept asking them again and again to tell them to stop but the wouldn't listen. So he told them that the plants and tress were not growing and the people on earth had no food, and the animals didn't have food to eat just from the suns traveling altogether. But they still  did not  listen. So the emperor sent his most bravest and cleaver archer to go and try and tell them too stop traveling together.  The archer named Yi wore thick clothing to protect him self from the heat with bows and arrows on his back with his shield.  Yi asked them if they could stop traveling together but the did not wanna listen to him. He walked closer and closer to the suns and he had to put his shield in front of him. After a while the suns realized how hot it was getting on earth for the people.  He told them how they could stay together in the sky. And one by one the suns began to break into pieces. The tiny pieces spread them selves our in different directions till one out of the ten suns were left. The tiny pieces sparkled threw out the night sky. And earth cam alive a last.

This week is Chinese language week. We are in the last week of school in lockdown. I hope we can go back for term 4!! In out google meet today we watched a video and it was called The Ten Suns. It was talking about how they take turns bringing light and warms to the earth. Each day one sun would travel from east to west. Then one day the decided to travel all together. The people on earth were very very hot. The Emperor told them that it was getting very hot and that they had to separate but the suns didn't listen to the emperor and kept traveling together. Then the emperor sent his most brave and clever archer to talk to the sun but the didn't listen. So he said that the can separate in the sky so one by one the went all over the sky. Kate Sheppard

Hey bloggers,

I haven't posted in a while so today in the weekend I decided to do a blog post. On Friday 24 of September we learnt about Kate Sheppard.  She gave the rights for women to vote in New Zealand. Her and her team almost go 32,000 signatures from women and men that women should be allowed to vote. Some men didn't agree and said that women shouldn't have the rights to vote. Did you know in New Zealand there has only been three female prime minister from back then to now. Their names were Jenny Shipley, Helen Clark, and our current prime minister Jacinda Ardern.

How many female prime minsters are there where you are or where you come from????

Happy Maori Language week! In our google meet we had to do art and put it on our window so when people walk past they can see it. We had to draw two koru on our paper but I drew six four small ones on the top and two big ones on the bottom.

Happy Maori language week! Today we read a story about The Story of Taranariki. We had to retell The Story of Taranariki from another characters perspective. So here is my writing.

There are 3 boy mountains that all like Pihanga, the girl mountain.

Pihanga would shout at them because she didn't like fighting. They were fighting for Pihanga.

¨Whoever wins will marry her!¨

Pihanga frowned ¨You can not win me that way¨ But they didn't listen.

She turned her back to them as they prepared. Pihanga didn't look excited. Pihanga probably thought that fighting was a bad idea.

Today in our google meet the person that is learning to be a teacher taught our lesson today. Her name is Miss Mullagain and she taught us about measuring stuff. We went on a website that allowed us to draw and it was really fun. We had to draw whoever we live with from tallest to shortest. I tried my best best to draw them but I just did stick people.  and I am also not a very good drawer. I hope you enjoy it.

Dolphin writing lockdown

Today we have a google meet at 12:30 and our teacher talked about stuff.  And then she created a listing activity we usually do at school. The subject today was about dolphins. So she read some sentence and we had to just write the key words. So now you can read what I have wrote. I hope you enjoy.

Dolphins are marine mammals. They go up to the surface to breathe and give birth to their young ones.

Female dolphins are called cows, Male dolphins are called bulls, and young dolphins are called caves. 

Although dolphins have conical shaped teeth they break their food into little bits and pieces and swallow their food. 

A dolphin's diet is fish, squid, and crustaceans.

Did you know that dolphins have their own language!  They do flips, whistles, and squeals to each other to communicate. 

The Maui's dolphins are the most endangered dolphin species in the world! There are about fifty of them left in the world. 

Dolphins are mammals. So they are warm blooded and every time they go up to the surface they breathe air through their blowhole.

 They are helpful and friendly, and among the smartest animals on the earth.

You can see them when they are catching waves and doing their tricks. They can also interact with you when you are out swimming or go to a place where you can swim with dolphins.

They have amazing eyesight and hearing. But the biggest threat to the dolphins are fishing nets. Now there is a ban setting for when you are going across the North Island's west coast.

Wonderopolis writing Lockdown edition

 Good evening bloggers,

I hope you are all staying safe in lockdown. One of my lockdown activities was to go on Wonderopolis and read about then do task and finally write a blog post about it so here I am. What I have picked to read was...... Ice cream and mostly Ice cream cone. I hope you enjoy my writing.

Some people celebrate September 22 for Ice cream cone day. Because the say that Ice cream cone was invented on September 22 1903 but if you search it up it shows a different answer. The history of the Ice cream cone isn't quite clear.

Most people think that Ice cream cone was invented in 1904 at St.Louis World fair.  Cones come in all shapes and sizes and flavors. Do you remember the first time you ever had an ice cream cone???

No one really knows when Ice cream cones were invented or even who invented it. But all I need to know is that it was made before I was born and it taste really good. Vanilla is the post popular Ice cream flavor in the United States based on sales.

Most people when they are making Milkshakes they will mostly add Vanilla Ice cream into it. And Vanilla is mostly in Sundaes.

This week in our reading task we based on the youngest swimmer in New Zealand. Her name was Violet Walrond. We read about her and did some task. She was selected when she was fourteen years old and died at ninety one years old 1996. Here are all of my task I have completed.

The trip to the New Zealand Olympics Fan Zone!

In this post the three senior classes went to the cloud. You might be thinking that we went up in the sky but no that is where you are wrong. We actually went to the cloud in the city. When we got to the cloud we had to sit on the carpet and we got to meet a real Olympian that went to the Olympics and got some medals. We got to meet Debbie Tanner and the event she did was called triathlon.Triathlon are three sports into one, in those three sports there are swimming, cycling , and running. You have to do swimming then cycling and finally running it must be really hard to do because you have to swim for a couple of hours and the bike for a long time and then you have to run. It must of token them a really long time to get good at that. We had to split into groups of eight and go with a staff that works at the cloud and do activities. My favorite activity was when we went to the Japanese area and they told us we had to write our name with the paper they gave us and the would write it in Japanese.

First Olympians reading

 Hello bloggers,

In this blog post I will be telling you about our reading we did this week. This reading task is about our first four Olympians. We read about them and their names were Darcy Hadfield, Hurdler Harry Wilson, Sprinter George Davidson, and Violet Walrond. One of the things about Violet was that when they were at the hotel she wasn't really allowed to leave her hotel room. She could only leave her room for her races and to watch other peoples races. Here are some screenshots of my task I have done and completed.

In this post I will be showing you some task I did and telling you about the. Have a look at some things I have done so far I post more about my other task.

This is my first task I did. This task I did was on a google drawing and it was really fun to do. My first fish I did was the yellow and orange one and then it was the light and dark blue, and finally it was the light pink and really light purple.

And this is my second task I did about three girls walking outside to look at the seven stars. I only added seven because That was how much I could fit in a corner.

The Polynesian Panthers

The Bastion Point Occupation

 Hi bloggers,

This post is about The Bastion Point Occupation reading task we did this week. The Bastion point is about Nagti Whatua and the iwi protesting about their land because the government stole their land. Then In January 1997 Jow Hawke led the protesting. But at the end of the story the government gave Nagti Whatua and the iwi got $3 million dollars and some land in compensation. Now Joe Hawke is happy that the Bastion Point is Maori land again.

The digital trip!

last week my class and I went on a trip to the art gallery. You would think we went to look at art but no and that is where you are wrong we went to go and learn about our class artist and other things. Then Whea Kerry said that we could play around on the i pads, robots, green screen, vr headsets, and stop motion. 

My favorite thing was when we got to go on the i pads and I played on paint 3D because I love to paint and one of the things I did was that I made a candy land.
